Another thing I am enjoying about these speed paintings is the

experimentation with colour...the lack of pressure to make it perfect is very freeing.

This is my first real attempt at a speed painting. This one took about 45 minutes. For the most part I was getting used to some new brushes I acquired as well as some I made myself. It is very hard to resist the temptation to go in and add more detail, but, thats not really the point to these.

beautiful architecture from the early 1800's as well as a bevy of wineries
